In a recent statement, Salesforce made a definitive announcement of a substantial price increase, averaging 9%, across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Industries, and Tableau. Although it is not a good news for the customers, it's noteworthy that Salesforce's previous adjustment occurred seven years ago. During this period, Salesforce introduced numerous enhancements across all its cloud offerings.
Starting August 2023, Salesforce introduces new list pricing for specific products. This new list pricing will be applicable to new customers and existing customers buying new clouds. Here are the announced pricing changes for core Sales and Service Cloud products.
- Professional Edition license price will increase from $75 to $80
- Enterprise Edition license price will increase from $150 to $165
- Unlimited Edition license price will increase from $300 to $330
Salesforce will also apply comparable list price increases to Salesforce Industries, Marketing Cloud Engagement, Account Engagement, CRM Analytics, and Tableau.
Summary
Starting in August 2023, Salesforce will implement a price increase for new customers or existing customers purchasing additional clouds. Salesforce justifies this increase by highlighting their delivery of 22 new releases and thousands of new features since the previous adjustment seven years ago. They also integrate generative AI capabilities into their product suites, including AI Cloud, Einstein GPT, Sales GPT, and Service GPT.
It's essential to acknowledge that this increase applies to list prices. Therefore, your company's size and the number of licenses will likely result in a significant discount off the list price.
