Messaging is becoming the preferred way for businesses to communicate with their customers. Every week, more than a billion users connect with a business account using WhatsApp. On the other hand, every day, businesses send more than 100 million messages on WhatsApp. With WhatsApp-first business messaging, businesses will be able to build experiences to chat with customers on WhatsApp. Moreover, they will be able to manage communication directly from the Salesforce platform.

Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, and Commerce Cloud applications will be able to integrate with WhatsApp. This integration will give the businesses option to support promotional and customer service messaging.

L’Oréal group brands will be a part of the pilot for this new integration. They will use WhatsApp to reconnect with consumers who had previously left items in a shopping cart. Using the chat thread, they will send coupons and offers to the consumers.
