More than 15% of the world’s population experience disabilities, and between 110 and 190 million people, experience significant disabilities. Less education, poorer health outcomes, lower levels of employment, and higher poverty rates are some socioeconomic outcomes that people with disabilities are experiencing. According to the United Nations, in developing countries, close to 90% of people with disabilities of working age are unemployed, and in industrialized countries percentage is between 50% and 70%. However, even in the most developed countries, the unemployment rate for disabled people of working age is more than twice of people who have no disability.
Purpose of Fiverr is to provide opportunities for anyone, anywhere to build their business or brand and make their dreams come true. Fiverr Empower
Fiverr launched Fiverr Empower program in 2020, which was the year that humanity faced a high increase in unemployment. Empower is dedicated to help disabled people build their professional experience by giving them opportunities to find freelance work through the Fiverr platform.
Starting from 1st of August, Fiverr will work with Salesforce on a pilot program in Israel to teach students with disabilities to become Salesforce administrators through a unique training program. During the program, which will take 6 weeks, students will learn the Salesforce’s tools and systems from Salesforce mentors. At the same time, they will get trained by Fiverr mentors on how to use the Fiverr platform efficiently. After the end of the program, Salesforce will direct its wide-ranging customer base to work with these trained and certified administrators through the Fiverr platform. Students will be provided with professional work experience that they would not otherwise get.
The Fiverr-Salesforce program contributes to the global effort around world disability inclusion and creates real, equal opportunities. By giving additional support and education, the two companies are coming together to help students and graduates with disabilities create a career path, gain professional experience, and empower themselves to succeed.
